About Saleres

(560m above sea level) The village of Saleres is picturesque, nestling at the foot of a river valley, surrounded by orange and olive groves, yet with easy access to the dual carraigeway. This area has much to offer, including walking in spectacular scenery, by the river or on the hillsides. The property is in easy reach of the coast, beaches, ski resort and the historical city of Granada. Granada airport is 30 minutes drive away (served by budget airlines such as Ryanair and Monarch) and Malaga airport is an easy two hours drive. The only village bar is in the main square, the door hidden behind an old stripped curtain. It is very basic but conjures up the real Spain. There is local bread van delivering to the village every day, listen out for the horn, also a groceries van on a Tuesday.
