About Acequias

(867m) On the opposite side of the barranco to Niguelas, a small village and as the meaning of the name implies, plenty of springs and streams. It is within walking distance (approx 15 minutes) through lovely countryside to Niguelas. There are bars, bakery, supermarkets, pharmacy and weekly market here, and a little further on the town of Durcal has 24 hr health care and all the facilities of a Spanish working town
Two properties here, Casa Torre and Casa De La Victoria can be booked together for large parties.
The famous GR-7 route runs through the village and leads on to Lanjaron.
The A44 autovia is about 5 minutes drive making it perfect for accessing Granada city (25 mins) and the beaches of the Costa Tropical. The Ski resort in the Sierra Nevada is approx 55 minutes.
